Description

This five petalled beauty is the poster child for tropical plants, they love the tropics and warmer the better, though we do some growing in cooler zones too. This Variety is the common red, it is bright red colour with its signature trumpet shape. They attract attention and are very conspicuous. Nonetheless they are used in Indian Ayurveda for various ailment and their flowers are used in herbal tea, more popularly known as the “sour tea”. Even though the flowers are delicate and showy, the plant itself is a Hardy and versatile as it adapts easily to its surroundings.
